The models are trending dryer for your Tuesday...but the models have also struggled lately with the precip coverage. There will be a few popup storms again today across the state, but many will remain dry.
Here is the HRRR computer model showing what radar may look like at 4pm this afternoon...

High temps are really cranking up again, with most locations in the lower to middle 90s. Heat index values will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s, so use caution if you are outside for any period of time.
The two images below show the 4pm temps, and the 4pm heat index values.
Outside of Tennessee, we are watching a tropical disturbance near Florida that will move westward into the Gulf this week. The National Hurricane Center is giving it a chance to develop into a tropical storm, so if you have any plans to go down to the gulf coast, please keep checking back.
It looks like it will remain a weak system right now, but a lot of rainfall and flooding will be possible along the coast.
This is what the models think of the track of the potential tropical issue...

Also, notice how most models keep this below tropical storm status...but there are a few runs that get it into a low end tropical storm.

Stay tuned...as we will have more updates in the coming days on this threat!
Have a great Tuesday!
